A Bridge Over The Arkansas River
Here is another photo from last weekend's hike on the Whipple Trail in Buena Vista. Near the beginning of the trail, a bridge crosses over the Arkansas River which is great for those wanting to gaze at the river flowing down. After our short morning hike, my friends Lars, Scott and myself headed into Chalk Creek Canyon to photograph the wildlife, the Chalk Cliffs, Agnes Vaille Falls and the ghost town of St. Elmo. We had a great time! This weekend, it appears somewhat likely that I will be in the Colorado Springs area. I have business matters to take care of and plan to include some outdoor adventures (The Zoo? Pikes Peak Highway? Mt. Cutler? Breakfast at The Pantry in GMF?) with friends. -Steve (March 8, 2007) |
