A Cloudy Array In Central Chaffee County
Once it became clear the New York Yankees were going to lose the American League Division Series to Detroit, I felt the need to get out and go for a drive. I was not that upset and I am not the type to get too "wrapped up" in professional sports, but still, their poor play was quite depressing! So I headed towards Chalk Creek Canyon and stopped briefly at Cascade Falls to take in the scenery. Then I traveled east on Chaffee County 280 and upon turning onto State Highway 285, I noticed the beautiful view of Mt. Princeton as seen in the photo above. I generally don't like clouds in my landscape photos because it distracts the viewer's eye and drowns out the colors, but I nonetheless thought this was a remarkable view. -Steve (October 7, 2006) |
