Freezing Cold Colorado Morning
Last night was quite a cold night. By 6 p.m. yesterday, the temperature
had plummeted to 1 degree, but with the windchill it felt more like -10.
This morning, the temperature is 19 degrees with high winds, but at least it is sunny.
I am typing this entry from The Mother's Bistro, a new restaurant in
Buena Vista located on East Main Street.
It is inside the large and historic green building across from
Punky's Restaurant. It is definitely a nice place;
Buena Vista needs more classier places to take people out, in my opinion. ;)
I do not have much planned this weekend. Although there are no major problems with it,
I am a tad nervous about driving my 1993 Honda Accord with 238,000
miles anywhere far.
I have thought about new and interesting Colorado places that I'd like to
visit in the near future, and here's my short list: Loveland Pass,
Crested Butte (need to visit again),
the ghost town of Turret and some 14ers
(namely Mt. Antero, Uncompaghre Peak and Mt. Elbert).
Have a wonderful day, my friends! -Steve (March 3, 2007)
