Beautiful Mt. Princeton In Colorado
Today's weather has been noteworthy for its moodiness. I woke up at 5:30 a.m. intending to photograph the sunrise to the east, but upon walking outside, I realize much of the sky was covered in thick gray clouds. Around 7 a.m., it began raining and with the temperature in the 40's, it was a safe bet any precipitation in the mountains would be snow. My hunch was correct. It was snowing like crazy! You can see my photos here: Mountain Snowfall.
At 10 a.m., the clouds began clearing with blue skies taking over. I thought this photo of Mt. Princeton, with a few remaining clouds swirling above was pretty. White snow can be seen above timberline, of course. :)
Yesterday afternoon, I had some spare time and wandered around an area known as the Holywater Beaver Ponds. It is just a flat and marshy portion of Cottonwood Creek along Chaffee County Road 306.
