Mt. Princeton Goes Into Hibernation
Well, there was not much to photograph today in the upper Arkansas River valley. Today has been the second day of a three-day long storm that has dropped rain in Buena Vista and sleet and snow in the higher elevations. My visit to the "Colorado Seasons" spot was pretty much blotted out by all the clouds, which can be seen here. Also, yesterday I visited Cottonwood Pass with my friend Brandi and got some photos of the snow up at the Continental Divide.
You know, it may not be too early to start thinking about winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing. Buena Vista is centrally located and is only about an hour drive from ski slopes such as Monarch Mountain, Ski Cooper, Copper Mountain, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and other ski areas.
It is depressing out here today ... Oh well! :) -Steve (October 9, 2006)
