View Of Mt. Princeton From The Whipple Trail (Buena Vista)
The Whipple Trail is a popular and reasonably easy hiking trail on the east end of Buena Vista. The trail begins with a bridge going across the Arkansas River and heads uphill in a pinion forest to the old Midland railroad grade. The views of the Collegiate Peaks to the west are very good and the photo above is of Mt. Princeton with the trail in the foreground. I took this photo during a rather chilly February afteroon (2006). It was good to get some exercise, however. ;) -Steve |
