The View From Wilkerson Pass
This is the last photo I will show you from my Sunday drive from Colorado Springs to Buena Vista! Just west of Wilkerson Pass, I pulled over at a lookout to capture this view of Mt. Princeton with the high plains of Park County in the foreground. This particular area of Park County from Wilkerson Pass to Trout Creek Pass is quite barren and isolated, with large ranches (including buffalo ranches!) and the small town of Hartsel nearby. -Steve (March 13, 2007) |
